Midweek Comfort: Gaia Galtrucco's Rituals
Another wholesome #ritualswithtemple in which @gaiagaltrucco shares her midweek routine. She lives in LA, working in area’s she’s passionate about: real estate and fashion. While at the same time juggling 3 crossword puzzles a day and practicing her Italian through the best language self-study book on the market: (Italian) Vogue! The coolest!
How do you feel when wearing your Temple pieces?
“I feel so comfortable. I also love that I can wear them together and separately and the ability to style the pieces is endless. They have become staples in my wardrobe and are items I’ll wear throughout the seasons.”
3 crossword puzzles a day! How did you get into them in the first place?
“Last year I randomly picked up a book of crossword puzzles at the pharmacy and immediately became addicted. It’s the first thing I reach for in the morning and I leave these books at work and my friend’s houses so I always have one on hand.”
Loving the 3-step morning skincare routine, are there any other products you’d recommend?
“I’ve learned that less is more with my skin so I keep my routine relatively simple. Three times a week I do red light therapy and dry brushing to keep my face and body healthy and rejuvenated.”
You’re also a real estate agent in LA, how do you like combining your two jobs?
“The two jobs work seamlessly together. With real estate, I work predominately in the beachwood canyon area which is the neighborhood I grew up in and that is also where the clothing store I work at is located! I dedicate the weekend to open houses and the rest of the week I am behind the counter helping clients and customers pick out their new favorites outfits!”
What is your favourite architectural style?
“Spanish! LA is so special in that every house is inherently unique. It’s like a patchwork mosaic because on one street you’ll find an array of different style homes and without the uniformity of build, each property gets to stand out in its integrity and differences.”
Vogue Italia, we are guessing you are Italian/have Italian roots?
“I am Italian! My father and his side of the family is from Milan and despite being raised in LA, my household was very Italian. Pasta for dinner, soccer on Sundays, etc. Unfortunately I don’t speak the language very well so I pick up Italian Vogue to highlight the words I know and to sequence sentences together as an attempt to teach myself the language.”
Favourite flowers?
“Peonies, but the season that they are available is such a short time frame. So year round I tend to reach for a mix of eucalyptus and white roses.”
Valentino is so beautiful! You seem to have something really special going on with him, would you like to share a little bit about the relationship?
“My mom has a horse property not too far from LA and I lived with her for 6 months while studying for my real estate exam. I didn’t grow up around horses so I am still rather timid around them but when we rescued Valentino I just felt an immediate sense of ease and comfort so we knew he was my horse. I don’t ride but when I visit my mom I brush him for hours and play him and the other horses music while they frolic in the ring.”
